Tour DAS installations in the French Quarter and Ritz-Carlton at DAS In Action: New Orleans
Get up close and personal with two tours at DAS In Action: New Orleans. On April 22, attendees will tour an outdoor Distributed Antenna System deployment in the French Quarter, followed by a networking reception at Bourbon Vieux, sponsored by Crown Castle. Bourbon Vieux, located in the heart of Bourbon Street, boasts the largest covered balcony on Bourbon Street, where guests can appreciate the centuries-old architecture and the spirit of the French Quarter in historic New Orleans. On April 23, attendees will hear how AT&T, Marriott International and Corning MobileAccess joined forces to equip the area to handle the data deluges that come with high-profile entertainment and sporting events. Attendees will tour the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans Hotel to see the DAS installed in the five-star luxury hotel. When it opened in 2000, The Ritz-Carlton New Orleans brought a new life to a pair of Crescent City architectural landmarks: The Maison Blanche Building and The Kress Building. Following a $250 million restoration effort that preserved the glazed terra cotta exterior, prismatic glass and other turn of the century design elements, the former shopping emporium has been transformed into a 527-room luxury hotel.
