Stoked for public-safety panel at HetNet Expo

A new 270-page report from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Public Safety Research Program notes that in-building coverage needs to be supplemented with a combination of small cells deployed indoors as well as Cell on Wheels (COWS). Hear from one of the authors of the study, as well as a Los Angeles Fire Department battalion chief on challenges facing the public-safety community. I am really excited about this panel session, which features Ken Baker of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Battalion Chief Kevin Nida of the Los Angeles Fire Department, Mel Samples of CADSTAR, who consults with a variety of first responders and Jim Nevelle of Kathrein. Plus Sandi Wendelken, editor of MissionCritical Communications and RadioResource International.
