Race fans will stay connected at International Speedway motorsports facilities
Motorsports enthusiasts have a reputation for putting the "fan" in fanatic so they likely will be excited to hear that International Speedway Corp. is working with American Tower Corp. and Corning Cable Systems L.L.C. to build out wireless coverage and capacity at 12 of ISC's popular motorsports facilities.
American Tower and Corning will design and deploy a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to get improved wireless coverage and capacity to fans on race day. Gerard Ainsztein, American Tower's Senior Vice President of Managed Network, said it plans to deploy "HetNet (Heterogeneous Network) solutions that incorporate macro, DAS, Wi-Fi and small-cell technologies. Our wireless infrastructure will help ISC keep their customers connected and provide an unparalleled fan experience." "We are committed to enhancing the fan experience at all of our major motorsports facilities to better grow ISC's business," stated ISC's Vice President, Multi-Channel Marketing and Chief Information Officer, Craig Neeb. "Our customers want greater ability to communicate using their wireless devices when they attend our events. We too want the ability to connect with these customers as they enter our motorsport facilities with timely information to enhance their event day experience."
