ExteNet Systems, HetNet Forum to lead eHealthcare discussion at HIMSS 2016

 Posted by on

ExteNet Systems and the HetNet Forum will facilitate a discussion at HIMSS 2016 on how the consumer eHealth revolution is impacting healthcare organizations. The discussion takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. PT in Galileo 1004 at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas.

In its third year, the "YourTurn" series at HIMSS is a chance for facilitators and attendees to tackle a subject in a flexible, participant-driven format.

Specifically, we will lead a discussion on "The Consumer eHealth Revolution and its Impact on Healthcare Organizations from the Mobility Point of View." Mobility is continuing to change and define the healthcare landscape and healthcare delivery solutions. Doctors, clinicians, patients and visitors are embracing mHealth delivery solutions in order to utilize digital healthcare solutions. While smartphones and tablets are the most visible aspect of this today, a whole new ecosystem of personal "wearable," "internable" or "consumable" devices are coming to market to make patient-centered healthcare a reality. Prominent examples include diabetes monitors, heart-rate monitors, and even co-morbidity monitors using enzyme assays from skin sweat. All of this requires a high-performing, secure and private, and available mobile broadband network, particularly inside a healthcare organization's facility, where wireless point of care and patient access to services is currently the most pervasive.
