DAS tours at Georgia Aquarium, Turner Field at DAS In Action: Atlanta
By Tracy Ford We're going to get up close and personal with two tours of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) deployments at DAS In Action: Atlanta, on April 10 and 11. On April 10, we will tour the Georgia Aquarium, where we can view a few sea creatures and a few DAS nodes, and enjoy a networking reception, sponsored by Errigal. According to its website, the Georgia Aquarium is the world’s largest aquarium, featuring more animals than any other aquarium in more than 10 million gallons of water. The next day we'll be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour at Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves. Like many stadium deployments, the DAS at Turner Field improves capacity so fans at the venue can upload their favorite photos and videos to their social networks. Turner Field is one of the new benchmarks for baseball stadium design. Both tours will include case studies from the companies that installed the DAS networks, including AT&T Mobility, Connectivity Wireless and CommScope.
